Joe Booher, 76

Mr. Joe Booher, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Albany Medical Center in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 9 days. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Wednesday, June 7, 1948, the son of James Edward & Ovie Della (Davidson) Booher. He was of the Baptist faith and a log skidder operator for Whitley & Whitley. Joe’s Hobbies involved going to car shows and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Lou (Bowlin) Booher, whom he wed on Saturday, May 20, 1967, and siblings, Sam Booher, Maxine Allen, Billy Booher, Suretha Booher & Monzell Hill.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn (& Ray) Gunter of Pall Mall, Tennessee, Steve (& Amy) Booher, Elizabeth (& Eric) Shurkamp, and Jackie Booher all of Albany, Kentucky, sisters, Imogene Fletcher of Burkesville, Kentucky, and Randa Hughes of Louisville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Lee Gunter, Joshua Osborne, Sierra Schurkamp, Gracie Booher, Jaycie Booher, and Noah Booher, great-grandchildren, Hazeleigh Gunter and Jackely Gunter, special friends, Jamie Stearns, James Lee Sawyers, Melvin Bowlin, Donnie Hill, Mack Wright, and Tim Riddle, many nieces, and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Don Davis and Bro. Gregory Eads is officiating. The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the funeral home until 9:00 p.m. C.S.T., and again from 6:00 a.m. C.S.T. until the funeral hour on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Highway Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
