Joel David Seaton, age 63, of the Joyner Community, passed away at Methodist Medical Center on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Joel is preceded in death by his parents, David and Betty Seaton, and brother Doug Seaton. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Carol Sexton, and sister-in-law Cheri (Sexton) Bible.

Joel is survived by his wife, Karen (Sexton) Seaton, son Harley David Seaton and daughter Sarah (Brandon) Jackson, and precious granddaughter Salem Kay Jackson. Bonus Grand Kids Gavin and Maci Bedford. Brothers: Steve (Michelle) Seaton of Kingston, TN, Vic (Penny) Seaton of GA., and Greg Seaton of Scott Co.

Brother-in-laws Derrick (Tina) Sexton, Garold (Kim) Sexton of GA, and Roy Bible. Sister-in-law Regina Sexton Webb (Ronnie Phillips)

He has a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joel was a loving husband, father, brother, papaw, uncle, and friend. He was a Wartburg Central High School “Class of 1980” graduate. A pillar of the community as owner and operator of Seaton’s Body Shop for many successful years. He will be missed, yet we take comfort in knowing that Joel is forever in the arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The family is honoring Joel’s wishes to be cremated.
