Johnnie (Wayne “Hogkiller”) Franklin, 75

Johnnie (Wayne “Hogkiller”) Franklin, age 75, of Harriman passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at CHI Memorial Hospital in Hixson.  He was born April 20, 1949, in Harriman and was a lifelong resident of Roane County.  Wayne was of the Southern Baptist faith and attended Piney Grove Baptist Church in Midtown.  He retired from the Y-12 Nuclear Plant as a Chemical Operator.  He enjoyed fishing and raising chickens as long as his health permitted.  Preceded in death by his parents, Harlon & Bertha May Pressley Franklin; brothers, Sidney, RC, and Leroy Franklin; sisters, Wanda Capps, Brenda Smith, and Shirley Franklin.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 1:00 pm, Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Fraker Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 1:00 pm, in the chapel with Bro. Steve Johnson and Pastor Andy Moore officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Piney Grove Cemetery.  The online register book can be signed at www.FrakerFuneralHome.net. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of arrangements.
