Johnny Hale, age 73, of Grassy Cove/Crossville, the son of John R. (Bob) Hale and I.Jean Hale (deceased), passed away on March 1, 2024, at Cumberland Hospice House.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Martha Kemmer Hale; sister: Kathy Hale; nieces: Tammy Daugherty (Matt) and Donna Hyder (Kenny), several great-nieces and a great-great nephew, plus many dear friends who were so faithful to visit or call during Johnny’s extended illness.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Ann H. Isham.

Johnny was a well-known and highly respected motorcycle mechanic, working on motorcycles from high school until he retired in 2014. He was also known for his fishing, hunting, and cooking. He and his wife, Martha, enjoyed working and serving in United Methodist Churches up until the last few years. He was a member of the Grassy Cove United Methodist Church since 1976.

Funeral services will be held at the Grassy Cove Methodist Church, on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in the Grassy Cove Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2 hours before the service. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Grassy Cove Methodist Cemetery Fund, 806 Ford Lane, Crossville, TN 38555, or your favorite charity.
