Vigilant staff at the Morgan County Correctional Complex stopped an attempt to introduce drugs into the facility. Officers say Merenda Sue Jones, a food steward, was observed on camera dropping a package off within the secure confines of the prison. Upon further investigation, it was found to contain just over 3 oz. of marijuana. The sheriff’s department was notified and Jones was arrested for felony introduction of contraband into a penal facility.
