Mrs. Judith Kay (Thrasher) “Judy” Lee, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 82 years, 6 months & 22 days. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on Wednesday, September 23, 1940. She was a faithful member of the First Christian Church and served in many positions as was needed, was a graduate of Martha Norris Memorial High School in Marrowbone Kentucky Class of 1958, and worked at Doctor Chambliss’s office, Smiths Pharmacy, and Cumberland County Hospital, was a member of the Republican Woman’s Club, Woman’s Jaycees, and loved to sew and make baby blankets for not only her family members but those in the community. She also enjoyed gardening and working with flowers. She was preceded in death by her, father Edward “Edd” Thrasher, grandmother, Daisy (Anderson) Thrasher who raised her, her brother, Jackie Thrasher, and her beloved husband Arnold J. Lee, whom she wed Friday, February 26, 1960.

She is survived by children, Edward Garland Lee, Gina Shaye Lee (& Larry) Watson, Aunt, Carmelita Smith, four grandchildren, Megan (& Russ) Acree, Matayea Watson, Mark Lee, and Kayte Watson, four great-grandchildren, Sidney Acree, Saban Roach, Paislee Acree, and Saige Roach all of Burkesville, Kentucky, as well as a host of friends.

The Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 12:00 noon in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Shelly, and Hon. Lanny Judd officiating. Burial will be in the Stockton Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 19, after 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to the Stockton Cemetery. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky is honored to be in charge of arrangements.
