Judy was born on February 8, 1955, in Crossville, TN, and passed away on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2022. Judy worked as an X-Ray Technician in the medical field in Warner Robins, GA at Hudson County Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and also a faithful member of Eastwood Baptist Church for many years. Judy enjoyed tending to her flower beds, sewing, and reading. Judy loved spending time with her family and talking with her grandkids via FaceTime. She loved nothing more than laughing and chatting with her sisters and friends on the phone.

She was an avid and lifelong student of the Bible. Her love for Jesus was one of her most evident characteristics. We know and are comforted by, the fact that she is overjoyed to be holding the hand of her Savior now.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Ova Lee Campbell.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Gary Blair; daughters Ashlie (Nathan) Farquharson and Laura Pohl; grandchildren Isabelle, Paisley, Piper, and Willow; sisters Cathy (Hughie) Oakley and Sandra Campbell; and nephew Landon (Megan) Oakley.

The family would like to thank Ochsner LSU ER, Neuro, and Critical Care ICUs and staff for the care and attentiveness. Thank you to the Willis Knighton Inpatient Rehab nurses and patient care techs for their warmth and loving-kindness to Judy. Also, thank you to her extended Eastwood Baptist family and friends (and many across the nation) for their diligent prayers during her hospitalization.

The service celebrating the life of Judy Elaine Blair was held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Eastwood Baptist Church in Haughton, LA. There will also be a Graveside Service held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 10 am in Big Lick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eastwood Baptist Church or The American Stroke Association.
