Kathleen “Kathy” Rita Burnett of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on February 5, 2026. Kathy was born on June 4, 1957, in Worcester, MA to William and Rita McClune. Kathy spent the last 30 years making her home in Crossville. Kathy loved her family dearly and her granddaughters were her world. Being their grandmother was her greatest joy. She also loved the ocean and she cherished time spent with friends—especially playing Texas Hold’em. Kathy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on through the many lives she touched. She is survived by her beloved husband and soulmate of 50 years, Lewie Burnett; her daughter, Stefanie Krusa; and her treasured granddaughters, Cadance, Sofia, Claire, and Ila. She is also survived by her brother, Jimmy McClune, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Robbie Burnett; her parents, William and Rita McClune; her sister, Mary O’Conner; and her brother, Billy McClune. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
