Ms. Kathy Gaye (Bowlin) Melton of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, at the Clinton County Care & Rehabilitation Center in Albany, Kentucky, having attained the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 28 days. She was born on Wednesday, January 4th, 1950, in Albany, Kentucky, the daughter of Bruce & Goldie (Stonecipher) Bowlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Doug Melton, siblings, Ronnie Bowlin, Billy Joe Bowlin, J.B. Bowlin, Frida Campbell, Erlene Hensley, and Reba Lee Clayborn.

She is survived by her son, Michael Melton of Albany, Kentucky, siblings, Jenny Schroat of California, Darwin Bowlin, Donald Bowlin, Johnny Bowlin and Dennis Bowling, all of Albany, Kentucky, and grandson, Chris Melton.

A graveside service was conducted on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky with Bro. Jimmy Simmons officiating.
