Keith Allen Umberger, 58
Keith Allen Umberger, 58, of Monterey, TN passed away on March 14, 2025, in Crossville, after a long and fierce battle with cancer and other complications.
Born in Virginia, Keith was raised in Cleveland, TN. He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School and Cleveland State Community College and served his country by joining the United States Marine Corps after high school. In 1989, he joined Bradley County EMS and spent 25 years serving his community as a paramedic until he left in 2014 to pursue other opportunities.
Throughout his life, Keith has made a huge impact on many different lives in a variety of ways. Paramedic, husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, uncle and mentor to name a few. He was a loving and gentle man yet tough when he had to be. No one who ever met him could ever forget him, or his kindness. He loved his family and his friends with every ounce of his being and it showed in his actions and his generosity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Shelby Frye, two sisters, Candie Umberger and Millie Umberger, and a niece, Jessica Umberger.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving wife Patricia; his daughter Katelyn Umberger; his grandson Gunner Castelow of Cleveland, TN; sister Sharon (JR) Gilligan of Laurium, MI; his nephew Stephen Long of Cleveland TN; niece Alison (Matthew) Mendenhall of Wauseon, OH; great-nephews and great-niece, Jeffrey Dooley of Cleveland, TN, Parker Mendenhall, Tucker Mendenhall, and Shelby Mendenhall of Wauseon, OH; as well as several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Living Water Baptist Church (741 Linder Loop, Crossville). Visitation will be from 1-3p, with the service to follow at 3, officiated by Aric Seiver and James Ford. He will be laid to rest in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery immediately following the service. Pallbearers include: Matt Newcomb, Andy Bohannon, Jack Waldo, Justin Kemmer, Dwajuan Howse, and Casey Fiste.
