Kentucky deputies say a traffic stop of a trash-filled van led to the discovery of a newborn baby covered in ants.

Doctors treated the 16-day-old baby boy for dehydration and turned him over to social services.

The baby was with his mother, 32-year-old Rebeca Fultz, of Livingston, Kentucky, and his grandmother, 69-year-old Charlotte Simpson, of London, Kentucky, who were both arrested on multiple charges, including criminal abuse.

Deputies stopped the van for having no license plates.
