KNOXVILLE DOG ELECTROCUTED THROUGH PARKING LOT PUDDLE
A dog was electrocuted by an electric terminal in a Walmart parking lot yesterday, according to a statement by the Knoxville Police Department.
Officers responded to the area around 10:30 a.m. after a nearby woman saw the dog walk through a water puddle and suddenly yelp.
Efforts were made to resuscitate the dog but were ultimately unsuccessful.
A spokesperson with Knoxville Utilities Board said the electrocution was due to the failure on the part of an electrical infrastructure powered by a privately-owned breaker.
