KNOXVILLE REP WILLING TO STEP UP AFTER CASADA’S RESIGNATION

While admittedly it’s not his dream job, Knoxville Representative Bill Dunn said he recognizes it may be his duty to step up as Tennessee Speaker of the House.

Dunn was one of several East Tennessee lawmakers who called on Glen Casada to resign in the wake of a controversy over racist and sexually explicit text messages exchanged with a top aide.

Dunn, who praised GOP caucus leadership, expressed optimism for good things happening going forward. “I am actively talking to members to gauge the best path forward for the House,” he said.
