Larry Ward, 84

Larry Ward, 84 of Kingston, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Jean Ward; his daughter, Jan Jones; and his son-in-law, Fred Jones of Athens. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Fallon and Mandy Jones; his sister, Betty Oody of Harriman; his sister-in-law, Linda Bailey of Harriman; and his nieces and nephews. His parents were Hubert and Delsia Ward of Harriman.
Larry was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Harriman, where he married Jean, his wife of 59 years. He attended Ten Mile United Methodist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Southgate 569 in Harriman, and he was also an Army veteran.
Larry was a well-known car salesman in Roane County for over 50 years. He started washing cars when he was nine years old. He worked at Harriman Ford Motor Company, WW Auto Sales (Ward and Doug Watson) in Harriman, Town and Country Motors with Tom Rice in Rockwood, and Highway 29A Motors in Harriman.
Funeral Service 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman with Rev. Jeffrey Jenkins of the West Hills Presbyterian Church officiating, followed by a Masonic Memorial Service conducted by Southgate Masonic Lodge #569. The burial will be at Roane Memorial Gardens on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 2 p.m. The pallbearers are Daryl Disney, Greg Ferguson, Trever Jones, Les Jones, Keith Stout, and Ryan Ward. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kyker Funeral Home. Kyker Funeral Home of Harriman is serving the Ward Family.
