Larry Wayne Rue, 69

Larry Wayne Rue, age 69, of Kingston, Tennessee, was born in Athens, TN on January 7, 1956, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 24, 2025. A proud veteran of the United States Navy and the long-time owner of Rue Excavating, Larry was a man of many gifts and passions. He was a skilled woodcarver, a talented heavy equipment operator, a published poet, and a dedicated farmer, among many other things. Above all of his accomplishments, Larry was most proud of being a father and a grandfather, roles in which he shared his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering love. His legacy of hard work, faith, and devotion to family will live on through all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy Earnest and Genevieve Rodgers Rue; his son, Aron Raymond Rue; his grandson, Gunner Rue; brothers, Leon Rue and John Marcus Rue; sisters, Elizabeth Parris and Fronia Samples.

He is survived and greatly missed by:
Sons – Trampas (Tabitha) Rue, Cody Rue, and Colton Rue
Daughter – Lauren (Matt) Dinkins
Grandchildren – Gracie, Emma, Leila, Titus, and Lillian Rue

Brother, Michael (Margurite) Rue

The family will have a graveside service on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Bethel Fairview Cemetery on Manor Road in Kingston with Bro. Chad Oody and Bro. Randy Griffis officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Strickland, Ed Carter, Bobby Tonachio, Daniel Schleben, Billy White, and
Mark Andrews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fraker Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston in charge of all the arrangements.
