LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES COME TOGETHER TO SURPRISE FOUR-YEAR OLD WITH CANCER

Five area law enforcement agencies heard the story of 4-year old Conner Stansbury of Farragut and his fight against cancer. They decided to pull his attention away from the chemotherapy and hospitals and instead let him play super hero for a few hours today.

Deputies from the Loudon, Blount, Knox and Anderson County Sheriff’s Offices and troopers from the Tennessee Highway Patrol organized a parade, along with some pretty cool toys, for Conner at Bob Leonard Park on Watt Road. From sheriffs K-9 teams, police motorcycles, and a helicopter from THP and Knox County, Stansbury got to step away from the hospitals and the procedures and just enjoy being a kid.

From Sheriff Guider, Sheriff Berrong, Sheriff Barker, Sheriff Spangler, and THP Captain Mike Melhorn, and all of the men and women of these law enforcement agencies, they are “Cops for Cooper”! They want Conner to know that his community of East Tennessee friends are praying for him and they salute the youngest and most courageous kid they know.
