Lawrence Gordon Houston, age 64, was born on July 26, 1961 to Lawrence & Joanne Houston in Crossville, TN. He passed away on December 13, 2025 at his home in Crossville. He retired from the State of Tennessee Correctional Facility after 30 years. He loved to hunt and fish, but what he enjoyed most, with his best friend Shawn Bruce, were his game chickens. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Houston and Reba Joanne Hyder Matheny; and grandparents Nolan & Myrtle Houston and Gordon & Kathleen Hyder. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra Kay Wyatt Houston; sisters Lisa Wood (Lowell) and Laura Simmons (Ray); brother Scott Houston (Carlotta); daughters Terri Leigh Green (Dwane) and Victoria Jolyn Houston; son Joshua Lawrence Houston; grandsons Brent Green, Kyle Green, Heath Burke, and Jacob Houston; and granddaughter Hailey Burke. The Graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 2:00pm at Big Lick Cemetery.
