Aided by U.S. marshals, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect today wanted in a shooting last Friday in Lenoir City.

Authorities say James Burch was taken into custody in Powell.

He was charged with attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic assault, and violation of bond conditions. Law enforcement says additional charges are pending.

Burch reportedly shot his wife twice in the leg and once in the face during an altercation Friday.
