Lisa Jane Swafford Isham, 66
We want to thank her husband, Dowell, for his loving devotion to Lisa during her illness. He took excellent care of her at home and performed every task required with a smile and I love you. He loved her unconditionally, and there was no doubt she felt the same for him.
Lisa grew up in a large, close-knit family as the daughter of the late Edward Cleo Swafford and Anna Grace Farmer Swafford. Raised alongside nine other brothers and sisters at the foot of the mountain in Harriman, Tennessee, she learned early on the value of family, hard work and looking out for each other.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Brothers:
Harold Dean Swafford
Joseph Luther Swafford
Edward Lee Swafford
Gerald (Jerry) Eugene Swafford
James Ray Swafford

And a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory forever.
Lisa lived her life with the quiet assurance of God’s love and grace. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she found peace and hope in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
She loved her family with all her heart and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. Whether sharing laughter, offering encouragement, or simply being available, she had a gift for making others feel cared for and valued. Her love extended beyond her family to the animals she adored, reflecting the gentle and compassionate spirit that defined her life.
For many years, Lisa proudly served at the Michael Dunn Center, where she found great purpose in caring for the residents. She took immense pride in her work and was dedicated to meeting their needs with kindness, patience, and dignity. Her servant’s heart touched the lives of countless individuals, and the relationships she built there were a source of great fulfillment.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into her eternal home. Her legacy of faith, compassion, hard work, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
“Well done, good and faithful servant…Enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:23
A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and joyfully remembered until the day we meet again.
