LIVINGSTON POLICE INVESTIGATE HIGH SCHOOL ARSON REMARK
On September 20, 2024, a concerning statement was made by a student at Livingston Academy High School, which alluded to mass violence directed towards the school. The specific statement was, “I’m going to burn this place down tonight at the football game.” This remark was overheard by a faculty member and several students and was promptly reported to the school administration and the School Resource Officer (SRO) Paul Terry of the Livingston Police Department.
Upon receiving the report, the Livingston Police Department undertook a thorough investigation to address these serious concerns. After an extensive review, law enforcement has determined that the school community is safe.
Both the Livingston Police Department and the school administration are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff. They will continue to collaborate closely to manage this situation appropriately and maintain a secure learning environment.

A petition has been filed with the juvenile courts on the individual.
