Mr. Thornton was born on June 3, 1997, in Knoxville, Tennessee, son of Alex Thornton and Heather (Lail) Thornton.

Logan worked in the automobile industry.

He is survived by his son, Braxton Thornton; parents, Alex and Heather (Lail) Thornton; brother, Jacob Thornton; maternal grandmother, Cathy Lail; maternal great grandmother, Anna Scholtz; and paternal grandfather, Jerry Thornton.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Alyssa Thornton; maternal grandfather, Danny Lail; and paternal grandmother, Rose Branson.
