A longtime nurse practitioner at Byrdstown Medical Center in Pickett County has passed away. Sixty-eight year old Joan Clark of Byrdstown passed away yesterday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Clark had been a Registered Nurse at Pickett County Health Department and a Nurse Practitioner at Byrdstown Medical Center.

There will be a private graveside service for family members only. The family may have a celebration of life service at a later date.

Byrdstown Medical Center released the following statement regarding the passing of Clark:

“Byrdstown Medical Center is deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and former coworker, Mrs. Joan Clark. We are thankful for her many years of service to her patients and our community. Our prayers are with her family and friends at this time.”
