MAN WANTED BY K.P.D. FOR 2ND-DEGREE MURDER ARRESTED IN N.C.
From the Knoxville Police Department:
BREAKING: Wayne Parham, wanted for second-degree murder from the July 6, 2025 shooting death of 48-year-old Michael Velazquez, was taken into custody this afternoon in Asheville, N.C. by members of the U.S. Marshals Smokey Mountain Fugitive Task Force, the Asheville Field Office of the U.S. Marshals and the Asheville Police Department.
Parham will soon be extradited back to Knox County.
The KPD appreciates the USMS and Asheville Police Department for their assistance in locating and apprehending Mr. Parham.
