Margaret P. Lester, 91
Margaret P. Lester age 91 of Dayton, Tennessee died Sunday, February 8, 2026 at her daughter’s residence.
Margaret was born November 12, 1934 in Spring City, Tennessee to the late Charles and Beulah Barger Fisher. She was a graduate of Spring City High School “Class of 1954”, during high school, she worked at McCabe’s Drugstore in Spring City Margaret was always a hard working woman and could accomplish anything she set her mind to. She and her late husband French Lester owned and operated the Big Orange Restaurant in Evensville, Tennessee for many years. Margaret was an accomplished seamstress and opened Dolls by Margaret in Evensville to showcase and sell her work. She loved music and loved to sing and play the guitar. Margaret loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them and her many friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband French Lester and her son David Lester, her brothers Dana Fisher, Donald Fisher, Bill Fisher, Buck Fisher and Alvin “Jimbo” Fisher and her sisters Derdorita Henderson, Pauline Woods, Lula Mae Beard and Alma Jean Cunningham.
Survivors include her daughter Carol Ann Barron and her son Kenny Lester both of Dayton, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1great-great grandchild.
Margaret was laid to rest by her beloved husband French Lester in the Add Smith Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life for Margaret later on this year.
