Margie Mevaline (Guinn) Golden, 77
Mrs. Margie Mevaline (Guinn) Golden of Albany, Kentucky, passed away at The Medical Center of Albany, Monday, January 6, 2025, having attained the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 4 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Sunday, February 2, 1947, the daughter of Worley & Gertie Mae (Delk) Guinn. She was of the Christian faith, a member of Jesus Name Tabernacle, and a cook for Clinton Care and Rehab. Margie enjoyed painting, sewing, going to church, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Elmore, whom she wed on Friday, March 15, 1968, son, Michael Elmore, daughter, Teresa Jo Morrow, siblings, Esther Guinn, Ruby Lee Duvall, Lou Francis, and Stella Guinn.
She is survived by her children Michelle Miller, McKenly (& Jennifer) Elmore, Ritchie (& Heather) Burchett, siblings, Imogene Smith all of Albany, Kentucky, Janice Chaplin of Monticello, Kentucky, Roger Guinn of Albany, Kentucky, Buffy Guffey of Somerset, Kentucky, Donnie Guinn of New Castle, Indiana, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. CST in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Luther Dishman officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Hunter Burchett, Zachary Willis, Jonathan Elmore, Matt Miller, Dalen Marrow, and Daniel Marrow.
