Marilyn Powell Samples age 91 of Oak Ridge went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday morning. Marilyn loved her family and above all she loved Jesus with all her heart.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Samples; parents Albert and Nellie Powell; sister Carolyn Haney and her niece Holly Wortham.

She is survived by her two sons David Samples and Joe Samples (Mirela); grandchildren Sara (Jacob) Stamper, Josiah Samples, Josh Samples (Angela); great grandchildren Ethan Samples, Emma Samples, Audrey Samples and Asher Samples; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday December 23, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Jackson Funeral Home and Cremation, a funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Joe Samples officiating.

Interment will take place on Friday December 26, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery located at 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920
