MARINE PILOT FROM TENNESSEE KILLED IN HELICOPTER CRASH IN ARIZONA
Two Marine pilots who died in the crash of a helicopter during a training mission in Arizona Saturday night have been identified.
U.S. Marine Corps officials said yesterday 30-year-old Captain Travis W. Brannon of Nashville and 34-year-old Major Matthew M. Wiegand of Ambler, Pennsylvania, died in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Officials say the AH-1Z Viper crashed on the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma training grounds in southwestern Arizona during a part of a weapons and tactical instructor course.
