Mary Helen Dalton Beverly, 87
Mary Helen Dalton Beverly, lovingly known as “Mimi” to her family and countless others whose lives she touched, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born in Big Sandy, West Virginia and raised in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Mary later made her home in Kingston, Tennessee, where she and the love of her life, Kyle Beverly, built a beautiful life together enjoying 61 years of marriage. Together they created a home rooted in faith, filled with love, laughter, cherished memories, and generations of family. Kyle affectionately called her “Mommy,” a nickname that reflected the warmth and tenderness she brought to their family each day.
As a believer and follower of Jesus she was a founding, faithful member of Potter’s House Fellowship in Harriman, TN. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding the way she loved, served, and cared for those around her. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, celebrating life’s everyday moments, and encouraging others to keep Christ at the center of their lives.
She is lovingly survived by her children: Vicki and Jeff Thomas; Kyle and Judy Beverly; Joyce and Brian Fletcher; and Molly and Glenn McDonald.
She also leaves behind a legacy through her beloved grandchildren: Kyle (Cara) Beverly, Jacob (Rachel) Thomas, Kaylen (Ben Climer) Fletcher, Kirby (Morgan) Beverly, Paul (Amanda) Thomas, and Kendall (Kelli Woodell) Fletcher.
Her greatest delight was watching her family continue to grow. She was blessed with great-grandchildren Sawyer and Avery Beverly; Jace and Sadie Thomas; Hudson and Haverly Thomas and Kennedy Beverly, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.
Also survived by her sister, Brenda “Cookie” Chambers, and extended family, “the Dalton Diddles”. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and lifelong partner, Kyle Beverly; two infant children whom she longed to hold again; her precious great-granddaughter, Lainey Kate Thomas; parents: Ed and Nellie Dalton; siblings: James Dalton, Donald Dalton, Paul Dalton and Pam Dalton Pleasant. We find comfort in knowing she has now been joyfully reunited with them all.
One of Mary’s favorite Scriptures was: “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 She lived these words wholeheartedly. Whether celebrating life’s blessings or walking through its hardships, she believed every day was a gift from God with purpose and meaning. Following a brief illness, she was welcomed into Heaven where she is now healed, whole, and forever at peace in the presence of her Savior.
If Mary could leave one final message, it would simply be this: establish and cherish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, treasure your family, love deeply, forgive quickly, and never miss an opportunity to make memories together.
Her family takes comfort knowing that this is not goodbye, but until they meet again. As she would often say, “We’ll see you in the funnies.”
The family will receive friends 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Potter’s House Fellowship-212 Patton Lane, Harriman with Celebration service following at 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Private graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Johnson Valley Road in Kingston.
