Funeral Services for Mary Jane “Ms. Janie” Eldridge, age 69, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home.

Rev. James Bilbrey and Rev. David Harris will officiate with interment to follow in the George M. Phillips Cemetery.

Ms. Eldridge was born on Sunday, July 19, 1953, in Alpine, Tennessee, to the late Hershall Palo and Mary Margaret Phillips Davis.

Ms. Eldridge passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Ms. Eldridge was a Teacher’s Aide and Foster Grandparent for Head Start and was known as “Ms. Janie”. She Attended Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by,

Shonna Eldridge (Megan Souder) of Knoxville, TN

Grandchildren, Robert Murphy, Cassie Murphy (Jay Bryant), and Caitlyn Murphy
Megan’s Daughter, Lorelei Souder

Special Niece, Kathy Smith of Rickman, TN

Special Friend, Mr. Floyd McCowan of Monterey, TN

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Eldridge; Son-in-Law, Bubba Murphy; Sisters, Katie Marie Davis, and Estaline Garrett; Brothers, James, Charlie, Tom, Walter, and Willie Davis.

The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
