Jackson – Mary Margaret Ridenour, age 88 died peacefully at the Waters of Clinton Nursing Facility on Sunday June 8, 2025.

Mary Margaret was born on December 1, 1936, to Grace and Virgil Rutherford of Andersonville, TN. where she grew up and attended Norris High School and she met the love of her life Roland Ridenour.

Roland was a Journeyman Electrician which presented them with the opportunity to live in many different areas of the country, such as Florida, Nebraska, and Far Rockaway, New York.

They returned to Tennessee and were able to build their dream home in Andersonville, allowing them to be close to family and friends.

They began their family in 1959 with the arrival of daughter Teri Ridenour Worthington (Doug). Their son on Kenneth Ridenour (Tori) came 3 years later in 1962 and finally David Ridenour born in 1965.

She was active in her church, Bethel Baptist where she volunteered her time with Vacation Bible School when her children were growing up.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Grace and Virgil; her husband of 40 years Roland; and daughter in law Lisa Ridenour.

She survived by her 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren with another one on the way. Her sister Kathryn.

She leaves a lasting memory of kindness, compassion and endearing love that will live on in her family’s hearts forever.
