Mary Thomas, age 82 of Oliver Springs, TN passed away peacefully at her home. She loved flowers and was a homemaker and loved caring for her family, Mary was also a great cook.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband’s Ray Richard and Calvin Thomas; parents Alonza and Nellie Harness; sisters Maggie, Margaret, Georgiana; brothers Kelly and Robert; infant sister Oda Mae Harness; infant brothers Leslie and Isaac Harness; son Daryl Richard; daughter Bonita Sage and her children Richard and Gregory Sage.

She is survived by her daughter Marie Holt and husband Lee; adopted daughter Melissa Garcia and fiancé Calvin Knight; grandchildren Alex and Reanna Richard and Andrew Richard; sister Martha “Marty” Ellis; close friends Earl and Louise Crowder; several great grandchildren and other family who will cherish her memory.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday April 21, 2026, at Jackson Funeral Home and Cremation in Oliver Springs, TN from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a funeral service to follow in the chapel.

Graveside service will be on Wednesday April 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm in Browns Flatt Cemetery in Briceville.
