Funeral Services for Melissa Dale “Sassy” Phillips, age 41, of the Hanging Limb Community, will be conducted on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home.

Nurses Honors will be provided by the Tennessee Nurses Honor Guard.

Rev. Darrell Harvill and Rev. Robbie Miller will officiate with interment to follow in the F.A. Norrod Cemetery.

Mrs. Phillips was born on Saturday, July 28, 1984, in Livingston, Tennessee, to Roger Dale and Janet Ann Norrod Miller of the Hanging Limb Community.

She passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Livingston Regional Hospital.

Melissa was a graduate of Monterey High School class of 2002 and of TCAT in Livingston, Tennessee, class of 2024 receiving her LPN Nursing Degree. She worked with Signature Healthcare of Putnam blessing her patients with love and sincere compassionate care. She was lovingly known by many as “Sassy” or “Miss Sassy”. She cherished her family and her faith in Jesus Christ more than anything in the world. She was a faithful Bible reader and often found comfort in just holding and hugging her bible. She was a faithful member of Hanging Limb Freewill Baptist Church where she has worshipped and attended since childhood. She always put others before herself and no one was a stranger. Her smile was the biggest gift she could ever give and there is no amount of wonderful things that could be expressed that could share what a wonderful, loving, faithful, Christian person she was known to be.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Matt Phillips
