Michael “Darrell” Trout of Crossville, TN, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on June 20, 2026. Darrell was a man who truly loved life and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh with those around him. His quick wit brought happiness to family, friends, and everyone blessed to know him. He was a retired Ironworker affectionally known as “Bluebird” from Local Union 384.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. & June Trout, brother Ronnie Trout and brother-in-law Junior Bowlin.

He is survived by wife Joani Trout; daughter Spring (Jerry) Picca of Jacksboro and son Jamie of the home. His beloved grandchildren Brett (Lindsey) Trout of Oakdale and Jordan (Cody) Duncan of Joyner; great-grandchildren Lakynn & Shelby Trout and Adleigh & Reid Duncan.

Sisters Denise Bowlin of Morristown & Darlene (Mark) Kilby of Oakdale; sister-in-law Della Trout of Lancing, TN;Aunts Helen Vawter of Centerville, OH and Mildred Summers of Valparaiso, IN; Nephews Doug (Michelle) Trout of Lancing, Derek (Heidi) Hamby, Blake Hamby all of Morristown and Brad (Alicia) Bowlin of Murfreesboro; niece Alyssa (Micah) Chitwood of Oakdale.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 4-6 pm at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 6pm with Bro. Tyler Trout officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Petros Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Petros, TN.
