Mr. Michael Joseph “Michael Joe” Neathery of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at his residence having attained the age of 34 years, 2 months & 21 days. He was born on Saturday, June 25, 1988, in Burkesville, Kentucky the son of Michael Lee and Eva (Walker) Neathery. He was a Christian and a logger for Watson Logging. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Sam Neathery, and maternal grandparents, Cecil & Betty Walker.

He is survived by his father, Michael Neathery of Burkesville, Kentucky, his mother, Eva (Walker) Neathery of Burkesville, Kentucky, his son, Matthew Neathery of Cave City, Kentucky, his paternal grandmother, Bobbi Neathery of Burkesville, Kentucky, his siblings, Melanie (& Will) Arms of Albany, Kentucky, Emily Neathery of Burkesville, Kentucky, aunt, Susie McCoy of Burkesville, Kentucky, uncle, Douglas Neathery of Hilham, Tennessee, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky, with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, after 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.  In lieu of flowers the family request donations to help pay final expenses and may be left at the funeral home.
