Mildred C. Cole age 91 of Roane County passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was a member of Trenton Street Baptist Church. She was secretary of Midtown Elementary School; she retired from Martin Marietta. Mildred was well known during her retirement years from Mama Mias and Roane Street Grill. She had 8 decades of musical dedication, being the keyboard/organ player at Trenton Street Baptist Church since 1999 and 15 years prior at South Harriman Baptist Church. One of Mildred’s characteristics was her Directness. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Gordon Cole, sister Sandra Hamlett, son Harold Keith Cole and special friend Lottie O’Brien.

Survivors include:
Son and daughter in law Darrell and Pam Cole of Roane County,
Special Nephew Tony and Pam Hamlett of Virginia,
Special friends Rodney Harback of Roane County,
Wilda Taylor of Roane County,
Grandchildren Brandi Beckner, Dustin Beckner, Christy Dodd, Tamara Foley, Braelynn Foley, Becky Cole, Laura Cole and Chris Cole,
And faithful companion Tucker Cole and too many friends to mention.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Trenton Street Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at 7:00 pm with Reverend Edsel West officiating. The family and friends will meet at 1:00 pm Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Kyker Funeral Home for a procession to Roane Memorial Gardens for Graveside Service. Kyker Funeral Home of Harriman is serving the Cole Family.
