MOTHER CHARGED WITH MURDER IN DEATH OF INFANT LEFT IN HOT CAR IN KNOX CO.
The mother of a 6-month-old child found dead in a hot car in North Knoxville just ovber two months ago is now charged with murder. Officers say 30-year-old Chantae Cabrera was arrested early this morning in West Knoxville b the Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force. She is charged with first-degree murder, felony murder and aggravated child neglect. Authorities say back on August 9, 2019, the child was found dead in the car parked outside the Food City on Clinton Highway. No further information has been released regarding the case.
