Mrs. Nancy E. “Polly” Hamby, age 87, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at her home. She was born July 20, 1935, in Rockwood, Tennessee. Mrs. Hamby was a member of the Clymersville Baptist Church in Rockwood and was a retired sales clerk and manager with Goody’s Family Clothing in Rockwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, “Jake” & Anna Brown; husband, “Wimp” Hamby; grandchildren, Tommy Evans and Heather Bourne; sisters, Dollie Nelson and Janie Sheets.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clymersville Baptist Church Building Fund.
