Nancy K. Gunter age 79 of Spring City, Tennessee died Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at her residence.

She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on March 10, 1947 to the late William and Fonda Reid Saultz. Nancy was educated in Florida. She and her late husband Wayne Gunter moved to Spring City in 1977 from Deerfield Beach, Florida. Nancy retired from Robinson ManufacturingCo. in Dayton, Tennessee after several years of working in their offices. She loved spending time with her family. Nancy would attend and/or participate in all their activities, including Wayne’s dedicated involvement with the Rhea Springs Lodge #310F&AM in Spring City on both the local and state levels. She would also try to never miss any kind of activity her children and grandchildren were participating in…she wanted to be there! Nancy’s favorite thing to do for herself was to go shopping! She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spring City.

Besides her parents and her husband Wayne, Nancy was also preceded in death by her sister Linda Slater.

Survivors include her children Brian (Anita) Gunter and Danah (Carl) Thunquist both of Spring City, her grandchildren Drew Gunter, Cameron Thunquist and Karlee Thunquist, her great grandchildren LybertieThunquist, Emberlee Thunquist, Camrie Thunquist and Hank Gunter and her special niece Tracey Richardson. The family would especially like to thank her caregivers Janet Lee and Melinda Fraizer for the excellent care that they gave to Nancy during the last few years.

Graveside services will be Saturday June 6, 2026 at 5pm in the Spring City Memorial Gardens with Rev. LaGrand Lamb officiating.  As per Nancy’s request, there will be no visitation prior to her services.
