Nancy Knox, 96, of Spring City, Tennessee passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at Rhea Medical Center. She was born June 8, 1930 in Ashland City, Tennessee to the late Will and Lucy Cain Nicholson. She was the last of ten children. Nancy was a graduate of Cheatum Co. High School and has been a resident of Rhea County since 1974. She was a teacher’s aide at Spring City Elementary School for 17 years and was the 2nd oldest active member of Spring City First Baptist Church. Nancy’s hobbies included sewing quilts, cross stitch, reading and cooking.

Nancy is also preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Knox, Sr. and her son-in-law Lonnie Craft.

Survivors include her daughter Donna Craft of Soddy Daisy and son Randy (Donna) Knox of Spring City; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her special niece, Anne Carney of Ashland City, Tennessee.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 31, 2026 at 2PM in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Price officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughn Funeral Home Friday, July 31, 2026 from 12PM until 2PM. Her cremains will be buried privately in Spring City Cemetery.
