Graveside Funeral Services for Nellie Neely, age 89, of the Anderson Community of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 3:00 PM at the Phillips Cemetery in the Anderson Community. Rev. James Bilbrey will officiate. Mrs. Neely was born on Monday, December 18, 1933, in the Oak Hill Community of Overton County, Tennessee, to the late Eddie and Georgia Dennis Richardson. Mrs. Neely passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at her home. Mrs. Neely was a homemaker. She was a member of the Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by, 3 daughters, Marsha Melton of Monterey, TN, Sandra Neely of South Bend, IN, Margie Neely of South Bend, IN; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; brother, Eddie Richardson Jr. of Rogue River, OR; sister-in-law, Ruth Richardson of Cookeville, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Neely; son, Bobby Neely; 1 great grandchild; and 5 brothers.
