NELSON-ODODA EARNS TCCAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Roane State’s Isaiah Nelson-Ododa is the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association’s Player of the Week for Region 7 men’s basketball.
The sophomore forward set a single game record for RSCC against Columbia State on December 7 with 10 blocks and 18 points, earning him the statewide recognition.
Nelson-Ododa also threw in 30 points and 15 rebounds to help pick up two conference wins for the Raiders. He’s currently averaging 13 points per game in conference play.
“Isaiah is an incredible asset to our basketball team and so deserving of this honor,” said David Lane, RSCC’s director of athletics. “The rest of the season looks to be very exciting.”
The Raiders travel to Wallace State in Hanceville, Alabama, this evening for a game with the Lions. It’s their final matchup of 2024. Tipoff is set for 4pm ET.
Roane State Basketball will resume play in January following the winter break. The first game of the new year will be played at home in Harriman against Experience Academy on January 4.
