Nelson Young, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026. He was born on October 24, 1949.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Faith Baptist Church in Grimsley. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church in Grimsley.

Nelson was a beloved son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend whose kindness, faith, and presence touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his love of family, his devotion to his church community, and the lasting friendships he cultivated throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Effie Young; his sister, Carolyn Young; and his brother, Stanley Young, and sister-in-law, Gene Young.

He is survived by his brother, William Young and wife Charlene, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Though Nelson’s earthly journey has ended, his faith, love, and memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
