NEW EVIDENCE LEADS TO ARREST IN 1973 MURDER IN MONROE COUNTY
After more than four and a half decades, a suspect is now facing charges in a 1973 murder case.
Prosecutors say new evidence uncovered by the Cold Case Task Force Unit led them to the arrest Thursday of 67-year-old Max Benson Calhoun for the March 16, 1973, murder of John Raymond Constant, Jr.
District Attorney General Steve Crump said Calhoun has been charged with Constant’s murder nearly 46 years ago.
Calhoun, who is now in the Monroe County Jail, will make his first court appearance Monday.
