Mr. Nicholas Aaron Harvey, age 37 of Harriman, formerly of Wartburg, passed away Saturday September 19, 2026, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a 2007 graduate of Wartburg Central High School. Aaron earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Electronic Media from the University of Tennessee. For the past several years, he has worked with WECO Radio and BBB Communications all over the area covering high school sports as both a color commentator and a play-by-play announcer. Aside from broadcasting, Aaron also enjoyed coaching basketball. He was active in coaching youth basketball in both Morgan and Roane Counties for several years. Aaron enjoyed all sports and was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee. He was a proud member of Plumber and Steamfitter Local 102 and served as a pipefitter for UCOR.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Roger Potter.

And his grandmother: Shirley Cook.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years: Kelli Potter Harvey.

His children: Avaleigh and Ezra Harvey.

Two sisters and one brother-in-law: Toshia and Darrell Ridenour, and Bobbi Harvey.

One sister-in-law: Valerie Hyder and her fiancé Mark.

His mother-in-law: Phyllis Potter.

Special Nan Nan; Ann Valentine.

His “honorary” siblings: Sara and Chad Potter, and their sons Mason and Jaxon.

His nieces and nephews: Caila, Tori (Lucas), Brendon, Jacob, and Ben.

Special friends: Travis Nelson, Anthony Rogers, David Kunsman, and Lance Lloyd.

His aunts and uncles: Sherry and Greg Kapusta, Linda Harvey, and JC Strunk.

His parents: Bill and Cathy Harvey.

Along with a host of other family, friends, loved ones.

The family will receive friends Saturday September 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Wartburg. Graveside services will follow in Estes Cemetery in Coalfield. To honor Aaron’s love of the University of Tennessee, the family would like to invite everyone who wishes to, to wear their Tennessee orange this Saturday.
