Nola June Armes Ritter, age 82 of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Nola was born and raised in Petros, TN, where she was a member of Petros Baptist Church. She later moved to Knoxville, TN, where she was a long time member of Farragut First Baptist Church, where she served as the pianist for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anderson “Dock” Armes and Oma Lee Armes.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold, of Maryville, TN; son, Jim (Tammy) of Louisville, TN; granddaughters, Bailey (Jon) Fuller of Maryville, TN and Sydney (Brett) Boling of Knoxville, TN; great-granddaughter and the light of her life, Sloan Fuller of Maryville, TN; brothers-in-law: Mitchell Wilson, Russell Shields, and Gary Ritter; sister-in-law, Linda Shields, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A very special thank you to cousin, Randi Clay.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 18, 2026, at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 6:00, Dr. Jim West officiating. The graveside will immediately follow at Morgan Memorial Gardens in Wartburg, TN.
