Norma Jean (Jeannie) Schrimpf, 78

Norma Jean (Jeannie) Schrimpf, age 78 and a resident of Harriman, TN passed away at Methodist Medical Center on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Jeannie was born on April 5, 1946, in Oliver Springs, TN, and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Jeannie was a Beautician and Homemaker. As many know, she was happiest outdoors. She was an avid gardener and took much pride in her flower beds. She was a great cook and baker. Christmas was her favorite holiday which she would start decorating for before Thanksgiving. She enjoyed planning dinners and having family over to eat.

She had a great love of UT Football and the Lady Vols Basketball. Jeannie and her siblings had a special bond. Her sister, Donna was like a daughter that she loved deeply.

After many years, Jeannie finally met the love of her life with Mark Schrimpf. They enjoyed traveling and being out on the water. They shared their enjoyment of watching UT Football and the Lady Vols.

There was no love stronger than the love she had for Robin, Kim, and her grandbabies. She was loved more than she knew and will be greatly missed by her family.

Jeannie is preceded in death by her father, Lester Justice; sister, Annette Justice Southard; grandparents, Hugh and Margaret Justice.

Jeannies survivors include her mother, Peggy Elnora Justice of Oak Ridge; husband, Mark Schrimpf of Harriman; daughters, Robin Hall of Harriman and Kim Hall of Rockwood; grandchildren, Jared Hall of Crossville, Benjamin Gee (Chelsea) of Harriman, and Margaret Hall of Loudon; great-grandchildren, Jaelynn Hall and Aliyah Gee; brother, Jerry Justice Sr. (Martha) of Lenoir City; sister, Donna Justice Melton of Valparaiso, IN; many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; special friends, Donna Marney and Dan Johnson.

Visitation will be from 3-4 pm on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Funeral service will begin a 4 pm with Bro. Robert Langford officiating.
