Norman Louis “Norm” Sugarman, 90

Norman Louis “Norm” Sugarman passed away on June 8, 2026 at the age of 90. He was an active member of the Lawnville Road Church of Christ where he served as a deacon. Norm was instrumental in purchasing the land and participating in the planning and construction of the church he loved so much. Norm attended Roane County High School before transferring to and graduating from Sewanee Military Academy. He served the Tennessee Air National Guard in the 151st Fighter- Interceptor Squadron where he was deployed to Ramstein Air Base to support efforts to bolster the air defense of West Germany during the Berlin Crisis. Upon returning from Germany, Norm worked for X-10 and K-25 (as they were known at that time), eventually retiring from the purchasing department after over 35 years of service. After his retirement he supported the Kingston community by serving on the City Council and as a Kingston reserve police officer.

Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Nat Sugarman.

Survived by his loving wife, Janis Sugarman.
Sons and daughters-in-law; Stephen and Caprina Sugarman, Michael and Crystal Sugarman.
Stepchildren; Jenifer (Kenny) Bell and Kevin Carlton.
Grandchildren; Alex, Valeria, Darian, Emerie, and Natalia.
Step grandchildren; Stephanie, Cody, Devin and Macy.
Great grandchildren; Emmy and Andy.

Memorial service 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026 Lawnville Road Church of Christ. The Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lawnville Church of Christ Benevolence Fund. Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is serving the Sugarman Family.
