The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says an individual was fatally shot yesterday at a home in Scott County

Deputies responded to the residence off of Stanley Creek Road in Oneida just before 11 a.m.

One man was found inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The man’s identity has been withheld at this time so that next of kin can be notified.

The incident remains under investigation.
