OPERATION “PUTNAM PROMISE” RESULTS IN ARRESTS

Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris announced today, “Operation ‘Putnam Promise’ was launched by the sheriff’s office after the grand jury indictment of 35 individuals, the result of months of leads and investigation.

Deputies from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Cookeville Police Department, the 13th Judicial Drug Task Force, along with other assisting agencies including the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), and the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and U.S. Homeland Security, conducted a investigation regarding illegal narcotics in Putnam County after receiving numerous tips and leads.

As of 1 p.m. central today (Thursday, June 10, 2021), the county wide interagency operation resulted in the arrest of 16 individuals, eight of which were already in custody when served with the indictment. They include:

  • Sara Lameasa Underwood, age 39, two counts of manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of meth. Bond was set at $40,000.
  • Dawn Kayla Smithson, age 34, four counts of manufacturing, deliver, sale, possession of meth with intent. Bond was set at $50,000.
  • Patrick Floyd, age 57, manufacturing, deliver, sale, possession of meth with intent. Bond was set at $40,000.
  • Gregory Wayne Parrish, age 56, possession or casual exchange of meth. Bond was set at $20,000.
  • Stephanie Hurst, age 39, two counts of manufacture, deliver, sale, possession of meth with intent less than 1⁄2 grams. $30,000 bond. Additional charges: meth manufacture, deliver, sale possession with intent, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and activities. Bond $20,000.
  • Eric C. Day, age 30, two counts of manufacture, delivery, sale, possession of a Schedule I drug
  • Larry Lewis Ford, age 51, four counts of Manufacture, Delivery, Sell, Possession of a Schedule II drug. Bond set at $40,000.
  • Edward Eugene Davis, age 59, manufacture, delivery, or sell of a Schedule II drug. Bond set at $20,000.

The following subjects were already in jail on similar charges when served with the pick-up indictments:

  • Aaron Arthur Antes, age 38, manufacture, delivery, sell of controlled substance. Bond set at $400,000. Additional charges: meth manufacture, delivery, sell, possession with intent < 1⁄2 gram. Bond $200,000. Total Bond $600,000.
  • Adam Edward Cashion, age 33, meth manufacture, deliver, sell or possess. Bond set at $50,000.
  • Donny Ray Jones, age 30, four counts of manufacture, delivery, sale, possession of meth with intent <1/2 gram. $45,000 bond.
  • Tabitha Ann Williams, manufacture, deliver, sale, possession of meth with intent.
  • Amanda Kay Randolph, age 29, two counts of manufacture, delivery, sale, possession of meth with intent. Bond is $35,000.
  • Samuel Blake Hunter, age 26, violation of Meth free Tennessee drug act
  • James Paris Goff, age 24, manufacture, delivery, sell, or possession of a Schedule I drug.
  • Allen Wayne Adams, age 31, meth manufacture. Bond set at $50,000.

“From the beginning, my administration has promised our community that we will fight this criminal activity and be relentless against the sale and illegal use of drugs. Almost all other crimes are a result of illegal drug activity. We will continue being determined at arresting those individuals who participate in illegal drug activity,” said Sheriff Farris.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force. Sheriff Farris expressed his appreciation to citizens of the community for providing information to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
