OVER 60 HEALTH VIOLATIONS FOUND AT VIRGINIA BOAR’S HEAD PLANT
Insects, mold, ceilings dripping with liquid, fat residue on various surfaces, and mold are just some of the health violations found at a Boar’s Head deli meat plant in Jarratt, Virginia. The same deli meat plant that has been tied to a listeria outbreak is responsible for taking the lives of nine people and hospitalizing 50 more.
Last month, over 7 million pounds of Boar’s Head products were recalled.
Over 60 instances of health and safety violations were logged by inspectors in the past year, with several logged in just the past few weeks. Inspections have been halted, and the plant will remain closed until the facility has been deemed able to produce safe products.
